Being a fan of these Unplugged sessions bands do from time to time, I wanted to hear how Europe would sound, the songs off there latter albums sound really good with "Devil Sings The Blues" and "Hero" standing out, shame about the annoying screaming audience, the cover versions of "Suicide" by Thin Lizzy and the excellent "Love To Love" by UFO, are great, it's the songs when Europe were in there heyday that spoil this album a bit for me, really missing there thunderous drums and roaring keyboards of that 80's period, though "Yesterdays News" goes down well, but the version of "The Final Countdown" is slowed down so much you can hardly recognise it, "Almost Unplugged" IMO is an album for Europe fans of there recent material, which is no bad thing.
