Shadowfax has continued to put out great music since their inception all those years ago, this is no exception. As far as smooth jazz is concerned this ranks right up there with all the more popular artists the world knows, however, it is much more mainstream than their earlier work which was more inventive, exploratory and challenging. Still, for the new listener, this is a great introduction to a great band.
This is a very good Shadowfax album. The tunes sound like Shadowfax and ARE Shadowfax. I think the lineup on this album is a bit different than it was earlier on in the band's history. If I"m not mistaken, the woodwinds player died at some point and was replaced. :( And if I'm not mistaken, this may have been the last studio album that Shadowfax put out before they went their various ways. Hopefully they'll get back together for a reunion tour. What ever happened to the Windam Hill label anyways? I miss them. Album gets an A!
Interesting and eclectic music style.
