Not a bad little CD if you are a Sky Cries Mary fan. Only four songs just like their first CD, Exit at the Axis, but not as good in my opinion. I loved Exit at the Axis and some of the songs from their other CD's are personal favorites, but I wouldn't describe myself as a fanboy or anything. I enjoyed the two longer songs on this CD (numbers 1 and 4). They had a rhythmic quality that I really like about some of this band's songs. Definitely worth some more listening. Of the two shorter songs, one was ok (number two) and the other I didn't really care for (not enough rhythmic funk for lack of a better descriptor). Again, not a bad CD if you are a fan. If you want to check out this cool, little-known, psychedelic-sounding band, check out Exit at the Axis for sure. Also, their follow-up CD, A Return to the Inner Experience, has a lot of songs on it and although the songs are hit-or-miss for me, it is a great way to get a large sampling of the band's interesting variety of sounds and styles. If you like what you hear, they've got a few other worthwhile CDs as well. All in all, I find it to be some great head music and I recommend it, especially for anyone already familiar with their work.Read full review
