This album, to me, is one of there very best. I had this album since it came out in 1971. This was the last album Eddie Kendricks and Paul Williams made with The Temptations. Now that it's on CD, even better, if you are a Temptation fan, this should be a must CD to have. Eddie's voice is pure gold and the harmonies throughout is wonderful. Some of my favorite songs on the CD are: Smiling Faces Sometimes-the original version of the Edwin Starr hit, Gonna Keep On Tryin', Throw A Farewell Kiss, I'm The Exception To The Rule, and of course, Just My Imagination. A true collectors item for any music lover, and if you are a Temptation fan, even better.
THIS CD TAKES ME BACK TO 1970-71 WHEN I FIRST HEARD THIS ALBUM. AND, EVEN TODAY IT IS AS IF I HEARD IT FOR THE FIRST TIME ALL OVER AGAIN. ITS REPRODUCTION IS WITH MUCH CLARITY---AS IT BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES OF THE TIME. I GUESS THE ONLY THING ABOUT THE CD THAT WOULD BE A NEGATIVE, WOULD BE: THE VOLUME BACK IN THE DAY WAS NOT AS INTENSE AS THE SOUND QUALITY IS NOW, ALONG WITH THE PLAYERS THAT WAS USED TO PLAY THE RECORDINGS. BUT, OVERALL I STILL LOVE THE ALBUM ALONG WITH THE CHANCE TO ACCEPT THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR IT ALL OVER AGAIN.
