I particularly love 'The Geese And The Ghost'(1977) by this founding member of Genesis. When looking for another Anthony Phillips to add to my collection, a friend recommended this particular album to me. Slow Dance is made up of two 24+ minute tracks. The developing and ever changing themes remind me very much of Mike Oldfield's style of music, although maybe a little more classical in places. The melodies are strong, flowing and beautiful. Some parts are pure classical, other parts have electronic or new age tendencies. Although the music is mainly keyboards sounding like an orchestra, the result is never contrived. There are even some 'real' instruments to complete the overall sound. This is the kind of stuff which listeners can use to set their mind at ease and to dream, and yet it's never boring. Highly recommended.Read full review
