I will not be able to be an impartial reviewer on this cd as I have been a Rush fan since 1980. With that being said, if you have heard or seen Rush live you know they strive to replicate their songs exactly as they recorded them. The only difference between the live version and the studio is the crowd and arena ambient sound which will on occasion drown out some of the intricacies of the music. They are professional; they come out and play and don't do a lot of talking. There are about six songs on this cd from their newest album which is an exceptional work. All and all, these guys are some of the most talented rock musicians out there. If you like the excitement of a live performance you will enjoy this one. However, if you want to hear the technical nuances and the true crispness of the music try getting the studio version.Read full review
This is (out of all of them) by far the best Rush live release ever! I saw them on this tour and the energy is captured perfectly on these cd's. I got to see them perform my favorite Rush tune of all time (Entre Nous from Permanent Waves) live during this time period and I was so stoked to see that they also put it on this release!!! The sound quality is perfect on this. The set-list best represents their entire catalog dating all the way back to 1974 when John Rutsey was with the band during its debut self titled recording. All in all, if you buy only one Rush cd make this the one, it won't disappoint, I promise!
as a rush fan i can't loose the opportunity to have another live performance of the amazing canadian power trio. as expected, another great recording of rush's road tour suppporting the 'snakes and arrows' album. great sound in an excelent song selection. keep waitting for the dvd or better - add south america in tour schedule for the second half of this year. keep rushin'
Canada's greatest rock export is RUSH....the greatest rock trio ever!!! Oh yea, they have great beer too....along with other great artists!!! THANKS CANADA!!! Excellent 2 cd set...but if your a RUSH fan, you probably already know that!!!
Rush did it again with their album Snakes And Arrows. This cd is wonderful and captures Rush at its very best in concert performance. If you are a Rush fan,go out and get yourself a copy of this great cd. You will be glad you did.
