A must have for all ageing space cadets. I'm 55yrs young now and this piece of memorabilia is as good as space rock gets. Rock on.

Hawkwind: Space Ritual
I am now 54, at the tender age of 14 I bought my first LP record from a shop 23 miles away in Hastings, Hawkwind's Space Ritual, the shop keeper could not believe what he was hearing and said he would take it back if I did not like it!!! This album has remained with me for 40 years, it is still mint and in a dust proof outer sleeve. I kept me sane through my University Years, was heavily used on my Mobile Disco strangely called the Silver Machine and tracks featured on my Radio Show It also opened the gate to other "Hawkwind" albums including Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters had a profound influence on me. Like me I believe the Brock has settled in Wales, could it be we both spent too long playing "Time We Left" whilst in England. I now have the CD as well. Diolch yn Fawr Dave.

Brilliant - the ultimate Hawkwind experience !
More orgasmic than an Orgone Accumulator, this represents the zenith of space rock. The classic line up of energy charged musicnauts forged a non stop sonic trip through space, time and fantasy realms. If you only own one Hawkwind album, this has to be it. From 'Master of the Universe', 'Lord of Light' to the highly charged 'Brainstorm' and the ultimate rhythm 'Orgone Accumulator', Hawkwind offer a space tribal beat that is not only hypnotic, but power charged, emotional and extremely cleverly built. Hawkwind excelled the musical restrictions of that age, and truely provided the scene with ground breaking entertainment that would help shape the future of music. Lie back, tune in and watch the stars.....there's a cosmic gig, pounding its way across the crab nebula, and it sounds very much like a....Space Ritual.Read full review

WHATEVER YOUR OPINION ABOUT HAWKWIND, FEW CAN DOUBT THAT SPACE RITUAL HOLDS A SPECIAL PLACE IN THE ANNALS OF LIVE ROCK RECORDINGS.THE FACT THAT IT IS NEARLY FORTY YEARS AGO THAT THIS DOUBLE LIVE CONCEPT ALBUM WAS RELEASED IS AN ASTONISHING TESTONMY TO THEIR CREATIVITY. WITH THE RECENTLY RE-RELISED WAR OF THE WORLDS ALBUM GETTING YET MORE RAVE REVIEWS FROM THE MUSIC MEDIA ESTABLISHMENT, I WOULD URGE ANYONE WITH A SENSE OF ADVENTURE TO GIVE THIS DOUBLE CD A LISTEN.
