Court And Spark - Mitchell, Joni Wow, what a talent! I was probably about 15 when Court and Spark was released. I source of lost my way and hadn't heard her music for sometime. Then my television broke and I started listening to AM radio. I can tell you since that t.v. is long gone, my life has become so much better. We communicate and have conversations in our household. We listen to each other. We read books. We started listening to 560 AM (on the dial)Coast to Coast (comes on at 10:00p.m. PST). It was on Coast to Coast were I heard Joni Mitchell again. They were going to a break and the music is the breaking away to a commercial. I was reminded of how much I enjoyed her music. I had to have it and lucky for me I found it on ebay at a great price. Thank you seller. If you want to improve your life, turn off the t.v., start talking to your mate, read the newspaper, listen to AM radio (it's the only place you'll get the real political news), go for walks, go to church and listen to Coast to Coast (560 AM, Monday-Saturday, 10:00 PST). Life will be good. I promise.Read full review
Let me start by saying that this is one of the greatest albums of all time. I'm old. So I know "all time". Secondly, there are times I relate so well to this nerdy little girl who sat around creating poetry so sublime that most other little girls didn't "get it". Heck, most of her teachers wouldn't have gotten it. So that left this little nerdy girl a little more time alone than is "normal" for other kids her age. In that alone time, she was able to come up with some of the most thoughtful and thought-provoking lyrics ever written (challenged by other little nerdy kids of her era, like Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and the like). There isn't a lot written about Joni's younger years, so if you listen closely enough to her lyrics, many stories unfold that could be about her, right? I wonder who she wrote most of her love songs about, where she got ideas for most of her body of work, why she wrote "Woodstock" (not on this album) and didn't perform there but knew what it would be like, and why she never married. Just enjoy "Court and Spark" like you would a wine that you are tasting for the first time, and listen for the nerdiness. It's there...you just have to really listen to what she is saying. ENJOY!Read full review
Beautiful album. Incredible vocals. All these years later, still hasn’t lost one bit of charm or sweetness. “Help Me” is one of my all-time favorite vocal tracks by a female.

This is Mitchell’s best album overall. It contains introspective songs as well as fanciful numbers all backed by Tom Scott and the LA Express. Great combination.

This is one of my favorite CDs from way back. I loved it then and still love it now. The CD plays perfectly and I am very happy with my purchase.
