The Alan Parsons Project is not one of the top ten R & R bands of the industry. But the songs, the lyrics and the instrumental components are cleverly and clearly constructed. You may not love every song, but you will find several tracks that you enjoy and appreciate. The style is an older style now, but it was current when it was recorded in the 80's. I find the Parson's style is parallel to what you can find on the Moody Blues, The Who, Elton John and even some Bruce Springsteen. I had bought Alan Parsons vinyl in the old days but I never sat down and took the time to really listen. Now with a CD its easy to repeat a track and pick the ones I will put on my ipod. One of the nicest things is that there are many real instruments like a guitar, a bass, a sax and drums with musicians playing them...not just a computer generated repeating sound.Read full review
