Technically adept at his craft but the pieces are too short and lack the creativity that might contribute to extended interpretations of other works, or to embellish his own compositions. Steve Howe is a fine guitarist, not vocalist, so his vocals don't bother me so much. This album does benefit from good audience support; all in all, the album is reminiscent of Leo Kottke and his live album, "My Feet Are Smilling". However, it falls short of the mastery demonstrated by someone like the guitarist, Tim Reynolds. (See Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, "Live from Luther College".) I still happen to like and appreciate the work of Steve Howe (and Leo Kottke).
Good audio quality and song selection.
