I have been getting back into some 80's bands again recently & I've started building my Asia collection. I saw this album "Aqua" & realized I'd never heard of it before. Naturally I had to buy it. i figured since it was an obscure recording it would be lousy but I was pleasantly surprised by this CD. First of all the lineup is great 3 original Asia members plus Trans Siberian orchestra guitar virtuoso Al Petrelli. I've only had time to listen to it once all the way through but my first impression is that many of the tracks are going to grow on me with further listenings. The only knock I have is that sometimes singer John Payne just doesn't mesh well with the rest of the band or with the style of the music but It's the best he's sounded on an Asia album that I've heard. Overall I'd give it a solid "B" grade.Read full review
You gotta be a real fan of AISA to like this one. Typical AISA, but nothing like the first 2 AISA recordings.
