Often when members of a band go solo, their works are a pale shadow of the groups output. No so Stewart Copeland (of Police) and his alter-ego Klark Kent. If you are a fan of the Police, particularly of their first few albums, this is definitely a must-have CD as it reveals just how much influence Stewart had over the musical sound of their earlier work - beyond his drumming. These are fun, witty, punk/pop songs that never grow old. the album further shows his musical talent as Stewart plays ALL the instruments(guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums and everything) on the album. My favourite track on Kollected Works is the last tune...Office Talk, a 10 minutes instrumental with the exception of voices of young London Secretaries chatting amongst one another... Clever.
What can I say...these are too hard to find. If you are a fan of Stewart Copeland than this is essential for your collection...As a fan of the Police the Copeland songs were always (still are) my favorites...long ago I had the Klark Kent ep...glad to have those songs on cd! If you can find one of these at a reasonable price...(Stewart, why not print up a bunch more of them!!!) get it!! ~ Corey Leland of The Insects Rock!
