Gary Moore is a relatively unknown on the pop charts. However, he is very well known to blues affectionatoes. He is a master of blues grooves, dynamics and making his Gibson Les Paul screem like a woman in the grips of love, or pained to the bone with an unworthy lover! He has the energy of the great Hendrix, the precision of Van Halen, and the groove of Clapton. If you are a Bluesman no matter which side of the guitar, this is a must have CD and a delightful find to me. I have learned more about how to play the blues from this one CD than all of them, except perhaps a CD titled: "Got Blues!"...another must have, in my opion.
I was perhaps not mature enough to pick this up when it originally came out, but recently heard some of it being played on the sound system before a Deep Purple set. Not surprisingly they have good taste. It is a blues album, but you can hear the Thin Lizzy influences and a strong reference toward 50's and 60's rock. Only knock might be the 80'sish production which might turn some people off. Like Rory Gallagher and others Mr. Moore is severely underappriciated in the U.S.. Some of the songs might seem a bit trite, but then Moore absolutely smolders on his solos, and has better vocals than you would expect. Highly recommended.
it's Gary Moore playing the blues, what more could anyone want? this is one of his most highly acclaimed albums.buy it and sit back and feel how the blues are supposed tosound and feel!

I love this CD. I bought it to replace a cassette tape that I had worn out from years of playing. It is in good condition and a great value for the price.
