I seen this concert in the mid-80s in a small movie theater. I loved it. I swore I would get the movie... until I seen the asking price. So I built an entire live concert movie collection trying to catch the magic that this movie had. I spent a lot of cash and fell short most of the time. This movie is a must have, so do yourself s favor and pay up as the alternative will cost you plenty...

I recalled watching this movie when it came out while I was visiting New Zealand. It was great then, and still great. What I enjoyed about it, seeing it now 2+ decades later, was the awareness of the effect it has had on other musicians, other set designs and productions. "Quotes" of things before, and things that were picked up later. It is through several watchings of the DVD that I could catch even more of the subtleties. The Bonus songs on the DVD, are, I feel, properly removed from the concert as a whole, as they just don't have the energy that is maintained in the rest of the performance / edit. Finally, the alternative discussion/commentary track gives even more insight to the background and history of the work. I challenge anyone to watch this movie and not be in a better mood by the third track. It's just that good. My only complaint, and it's so small that I didn't rate it 4 stars, is that the two bonus tracks are at the end and not in the sequence that was in the original movie theater release and VHS release.
