To be honest I was looking for a good compilation of this band...until I saw this. Quite simply it's superb value (you get both hit singles + the mono single mixes of both + bonus tracks. The sound is superb and by the way..so is the music, typically sixties psychedelia with some excellent guitar & Grace Slick's vocals are also very good. It's easy to see why the album is rated highly, go on..buy it! You could do a lot worse.
i think this album was a one off. it brings the sound and feel of that point in time to life. no one had made an album quite like it. the band itself were young and untouched by any dealings with corporate record companys. i bought the album for these reasons. the only thing i disliked were the inevitable "bonus" tracks.
