I loved this CD and it was hard to give it a try after buying awful YES cds like "Big Generator". This is a series of songs that all work together somewhat like the first side of "Fragile"(although not quite as good-let's face it-what is?) My favorite song on the CD is "State of Play" with heavy guitar and a great bridge. I recently just replaced this CD because I wore out my first one that I purchased when the CD first came out.
I AM A HUGE YES FAN WITH THE EXCEOPTION OF THEIR 80'S STUFF. THIS IS ACTUALLY OK EVEN THOUGH STEVE HOWE IS NOT ON GUITAR. TREVOR RABIN IS GOOD BUT... HOWEVER, I DID FIND A COUPLE SONGS OF BRILLIANCE. I BOUGHT IT CUZ MY SISTER IN LAW INSISTED THAT I WOULD LOVE IT. I DO LIKE IT THOUGH.
I found this CD to be very easy to listen to and mellower than most of the other Yes CDs. I have been a Yes fan since Fragile was new.
This is an under rated CD by Yes. Great concept type album which has common themes running through all the tracks. Unfortunately the record company went belly-up during roll-out and the follow-up was stunted. I hope it someday makes it to Itunes.
Endless dream is one of the best songs ever written and played by Yes. I would highly recommend this CD to just about anyone.
