To me, this 1971 album is ELP's finest progressive work in the band's history. The keyboard work is outstanding, particularly within the open three tracks. The recording is one of the legendary "concept albums", sorely missed with today's music. Be aware that Lake is excellent as well however I feel he reaches his peak on the later albums. Palmer is one of the forgotten drumers from this time. Truly a master player. This is a most own for an ELP fan. Excellent spin... oh and get the '04 remaster. It is awesome!
