I give the MoFi release 5 stars. Beatifully presented with lots of album liner notes, and of course, as expected, another hi-qual Mobile Fidelity production. Brought back lots of memories from when these "records" got lots of late-nite play-time on FM in Rochester, NY, back in the '70s. Still a ton of laughs. However, I'm still searching for (as I recall it being a Firesign release) the skit about "... oh Wally, oh Wally... But Captain," (to Kirk, I think) "we're engaged." And in reply, "Well, disengage."
This Album (CD) is absolutely what is wrong with the western culture and 100% hilarious! Did ya miss out on the 60's & 70's? Pissed off cause ya didn't get to go to Woodstock cause ya weren't even born yet? Well buy this and any other Firesign Theatre CD you can get your grubby little hands on and experience why your parents seem just a little bit weird!
I bought it for nostalgic reasons An really was able to recall how much I used to like to listen to this troup when I was on Acid and drunk. Now its seems like a big flop in that I dont take drugs and am not drunk, That did not happen with the Grateful Dead which I only like after I quit taking Drugs and Alcohol. Go by some Grateful dead records instead
The Firesign Theater at its best. Some of the jokes and references are dated to the 60's but somehow many of the jokes and one liners and references are timeless. It's a walk down memory lane.
