First bought this album 10 years ago after being introduced to the sawdoctors through a number of friends who raved about them. That particular CD is in my car so I had no problems in buying another for the house. The ultimate in Sawdoctors music. A must have album in your collection. I'm not going to review the album track by track but from the signature track I uesta love her right through to I hope we meet again, every track gets your feet tapping and your heart beating. I will only say - listen to each track carefully understand the lyrics. The Sawdoctors basically write about every day life moments as in school days, girlfriends, work, parties, mates, football(gaelic) and living everyday life in their hometown of Tuam. Each track tells its own tale of how things were, are and are going to be. From Irish folky type songs, to pop, punk, rock and ballads - it's all their in it's own Sawdoctors way. Listening to the Sawdoctors will get you tapping, but watching them live will get you hooked. End of and nuff said.Read full review
I bought this to replace an older copy I had on cassette which was worn out. I think it's brilliant, one of my all time favourite albums and if you ever get the chance, you should go and see the Saw Doctors live.
This album is a fantastic example of The Saw Doctors work, it's so good,it's like a compilation, not one duff track. Try any of their albums you won't be disappointed.
This in my mind is seminal Saw Doctors. Every gig has I useta lover banging in my mind. BUY A COPY OF THIS ALBUM NOW!!!!
When I was young my dad would play this in the car. I found the tape on ebay and couldn't help, but buy it. My car still has an tape player, so it became my driving soundtrack... I'm off to uni without a tape player, so have decided to buy it on CD too. It's full of feel good, sing along, but -different- songs. You wont get bored. Much better than their later material. Buy it if you can.
