This Will Destroy You Well, where do I start! First off, I hope that you have already listened to the very first album “Young Mountain”. This album is pretty loud, sometimes aggressive in a way, some other times like a sheer waterfall of soaring guitar feedbacking they distinctive sound into your senses. It is a trip from nice quiet piano melodies to soft gentle guitar intros - with very quickly picks up on speed and power as the guitars kicks in like a wash of sound-wave after sound-wave. A brilliant (but short) album! Now on the second album “This will destroy you” is a bit of a different beast! The sound on several of the songs here are meditative, tranquil and deep. This time around the aim of the music is not to always cast you into soaring crescendos, but rather to built and create a mood around you. Actually this comes close to Sigus Ros in realms of moods. I do fine find this new album deeply moving and a great follow-up. Post-Rockers will always love the quiet – loud texture and TWDY have made a much greater use of it on this album. Band like MONO, Explosions in the Sky, Jokob or God is an astronaut will always spring in mine in the Post-Rock scene. That is where “This will destroy you” has its right place!Read full review
It's great music, it's a great band..... My copy is warped making one side skip and the other "wobble". But I love the tunes anyway

I have been a long time fan of beautiful sounding instrumental bands that use amazing guitar and effects. This cd is not lacking! I Love everything about this self titled CD, but if there was one thing I could change about the sound would be shorten the songs and thus put more on the CD. Who doesnt love delayed guitar and violins?!
