Some of the tracks were live recordings. I like the original studio recordings. Other than that, it's a keeper.

The Outlaw's Green Grass and High Tides album and its title track with its unforgettable long-track guitar arrangement is reminiscent of James Gang. I had not heard the title track in some time, and I can't recall if it's in my vinyl library or not, but I knew it had to be added to my CD collection. Green Grass and High Tides is also reminiscent of CCR's Ramble Tamble. I love this track, and at 64 I love playing this loud, having my 16" Jensens dance across my living room floor. This album is a must have. High marks.
The previous reviewer, pyfr, obviously has no taste. I could go on a tirade of epic proportions. But why bother. It would be like trying to convince a queer that your supposed to make it with a woman not a dude. If you want to review something, review something you like. (Probably, Madonna or the Village People) Don't bash things you don't understand. You probably had your girl friend stolen by a real man, wearing cowboy boots, driving a pick up truck, blasting Green Grass and High Tides. Yeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!!!! The Outlaws Rock and so does Hee Haw. And PS country music wishes it could be as good as the Outlaws!!!!!!
Excellent sounding CD. I like how the songs are listed in cronological order of the groups career. If you only buy one Outlaw album this is the best choice.
