After so many years, I was looking through my old CD collections and I thought about 10K Maniacs. I purchased this album (slightly used) and it brought me back to the 90's when I was struggling to find myself in NYC. Natalie Merchant has such an incredible voice that other singers try to emulate but fail. In the current talent-less musical industry, where I can't stand the music that's being churned out, I can listen to her voice all-day long. THIS is what music is all about.
I haven't heard this music in years, and I found this CD on Ebay for cheap, so I bought it. It came with no scratches and no damage. I play it on full blast constantly and I love the nostaglista I feel as Natile sings my favorite songs. Overall, this is a great product for any 10,000 Maniacs fan. Very recommended!!! :)
Good deal for a great artist

This final studio album before Natalie Merchant departed for a solo career marked the zenith of the 10000 Maniac's mainstream popularity, for better or worse. They certainly perfected the melodic presentation of socially-conscious messages here, stridently with "Candy Everybody Wants" and and pensively with "These Are Days". All in all, a likable experience.
The greatest thing about early 10,000 maniacs was their quirkiness. As time went on the quirkiness went away and with it went the appeal. Our Time In Eden is a decent album but it is also very forgettable. Some may even call it boring. 2 1/2 stars.
