One of the best Titanic-Era CDs. Wonderful, wonderful and heartfelt interpretations of "The Merry Widow Waltz", "Alexander's Ragtime Band", "That Mesmerizing Mendelssohn Tune", "Frankie and Johnny" and especially "Songe d'Automne". A shame they decided to include an organ and/or an accordion in some of the songs. While the songs are still enjoyable in themselves, you shouldn't call your compilation "Music AS HEARD on the fateful Voyage" if there was no organ or accordion onboard the Titanic. Great praise for the presentation; the CD case is made to look as if it was a product of the era which inspired it - all sturdy cardboard with about 40 pages of heavily illustrated and extremely pleasant-to-read liner notes. If you're a Titanic buff, this CD is a must.

Great music but we purchased it with the intent of doing the music only. Track 2 is a narrated reading that would have been great as Track 1 or the last track - just sort of screws up the listening of the music.
