  • James Horner's Best Soundtrack

Arguably James Horner's finest work, the Academy Award winning Titanic soundtrack is a perfect blend of classical and romantical classical music along with a touch of Celtic. The music is stirring and uplifting especially in "Take Her To Sea, Mr. Murdoch" which is one of the best tracks on the CD. The CD also includes one of the best known love songs, "My Heart Will Go On" which won an Oscar for Best Original Song. Overall, this is one of my favorite soundtracks for its beautiful music and songs. This CD is a must have for film soundtrack fans! A perfect 5/5!

  • Titanic Soundtrack

This music puts you in a state of mine the is so serene, and tranquil. Every time that I listen to it, it puts my mindset at ease. And the selection by Celine Dion, wow! She has such a rich and powerful voice. Mostly everything that she has bellowed, goes straight to the top of the charts, and I fell for her, from her first release. Bottom line is, I love good music, and James Horner, and all who collaborated putting this masterpiece together, keep making beautiful music! This soundtrack is a great! James Ayers, Atlanta, GA.

  • Haunting melody

Very haunting melody-it keeps playing in your mind when it's over. Takes you back to a different era, when people expections of life were different. I just wish the CD didn't skip and stall! But for $0.99 what can you expect? Reminds me of first loves and how tragic they can end, but you never forget. It's a great movie, displaying all the emmotions, and psychology of people; why they do what they do. And the soundtrack, i.e. muscial score, does the same thing. The hope of great things to come, tragedy, getting over it, and moving on with life, but never forgetting. I highly recommend buying a GOOD CD of this title. Due to physical properties of THIS perticular CD-product I can not give it a good rating.

  • I had this once and gave it away

OK, I don't like Celin Dion's song at all, not only because I was exposed to it too often - as a matter of fact, I've avoided at all costs -, I simply don't think it's a good number in the first place. The lyrics just leave me plain cold, they are superficial and basically unmemorable. The music doesn't help to change that poor state either, and I still don't see the point why it's featured in the film anyway. I'm well aware of the fact that I'm swimming against the mainstream here, I can't help it. I had the album along with "Back To Titanic", listened to it about three times through. I was honestly bored, mostly because of the orchestral music by James Horner, especially his heavy touches of some Enya music in it. He won an Oscar for it, yes, he also won the statue for the song. ...
