I had the first album (Believe It) years ago. It is an exceptional album, my brother and I were professional musicians and this record was really a big influence. Tony's drumming is incredible and fun to listen to and Allan Holdsworth's guitar work is fantastic. He plays like a chainsaw, but beautifully. The second album included is interesting and growing on me. Sounds a little 70s, but the first album is a masterpiece; a terrific example of fusion that doesn't sound at all dated. Still fresh. Tony Williams is an incredible talent.

I don't like long reviews. This CD was recorded in 1974 and remains a standard in jazz fusion today. I consider this album a good introduction to fusion, if you are a rock guy who wants more out of your music. Yet, at the same time, it holds it's own in the jazz world, too, as a standard for electric guitar fans. Tony Williams' drumming on this CD is phenominal. This is one of my favorite all time CD's.
Just love this amazing CD and musicianship!!!

Listeners who are only familiar with Tony Williams work with Miles Davis are in for a suprise here.. Not only did he lean more towards funk, and rock with his outfit 'Lifetime', he did so almost at the expense of his jazz expertise.. Most of the music is rather dated sounding now, but it's required listening for anyone interested in '70s fusion music
