Dead Can Dance are always great- live or in the studio. I bought this CD because it is one I don't have yet, and it is fantastic. My favorite songs are I Am Stretched On Your Grave (written by Dead Can Dance) and The Wind That Shakes The Barley (a traditonal Irish folk song). No one in the world has a voice as wonderful and as unusual as Lisa Gerrard. Her range and tone are just amazing. Don't let the fact that this is a live CD scare you away, DCD are as clean sounding and wonderful as they are in the studio.
This CD/album by Dead Can Dance is unusual, in that it was recorded live at a concert. Some bands can sound great on studio-produced material, not so much live and in person. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised.....this sounded like the Dead Can Dance does in the studio, with the added ambience of a live concert.

Probably one of the best live discs I have heard; touching on most of the life of the dead can dance ensemble. Excellent!!
