Crimson Glory represents one of the pioneers of the progressive metal genre, but more than that, they even carved out their own unique sound within that niche. Transcendence is definitely their best offering, and it is the quintessential 'Crimson Glory' sound, full of powerful guitar, amazing vocals, and lyrics that stand on their own, with or without musical accompaniment. I rank it in the top 10 of 80's and 90's progressive metal albums. A must-have in any music collection!
