The Bled is one of my favorite bands, and this album shows exactly why. It's fundamental post-hardcore - heavy, but not to the point of metal, and plenty of emotion. The album is more to their roots, in a way - Found In The Flood was a more produced album, while Pass The Flask was gritty, raw, and in your face. I don't think they could ever completely capture the Pass The Flask emotion again, but this comes pretty close to it. Oddly enough, however, I think the best song on the album is "Asleep On The Front Lines", which is a soft song, for the first half. Not to say that the other songs are bad, far from it - this album is a perfect blend of gritty and soft, like velvet sandpaper.
