I first heard the music of Rennaissane in high school (1976-1978). I have enjoyed their music at least once every day since. I had Prologue, Ashes are Burning, Turn of the Cards, Scheherazade and Other Stories, Live at Carnegie Hall, Novella, and A Song for all Seasons, as albums and wore all of them out listening over and over again. Glad many are now available on CD (Finally!!). Annie Haslam's voice and 5-octave range are just incredible. I still get chills listening to her voice. The musicianship of Michael Dunford, John Tout, and Terence Sullivan only enhance the music. If you like a combination of Rock, Folk, and Classical music I strongly recommend you give this band a listen. It's a real shame bands of this quality are so few and far between.
Very original progressive rock. For the individual with some craziness. Well worth the litem.

This is a CD that I had a tape of 30 odd years ago and wore it out listening to it. The sound couldn't be sweeter - a marvelous voice over classic tunes. It is fantastic! I don't know anything else quite like it, but some of the Riverdance/Enya type things are the closest music to it.Try it - you'll love it!
This is the 3rd disc by Renaissance that I've heard in its entirety. It's a decent effort, but not on par with Scheherazade or A Song For All Seasons. If you turn down the volume and do something else while listening, it's quite enjoyable. But if your looking for a meaty album to lift your spirit and carry your imagination to new places, look up the other two albums mentioned instead.
Great album! After a long search, finally I found it! It was a recent discovery but the Renaissance band was really the best in 70'. This is an album I heartily recommend to all music lovers.
