When I was in high school, my best friend loved Uriah Heep and played this album all the time, it was his anthem. I learned recently that he wass very ill and near death. I decided to buy this CD and play it loud the way he always did. I saw my friend last week and said goodbye. I told him I love him and told him that I had purchased this CD, he smiled. Sometimes music is all we have, it keeps us connected and helps us through the bad times. I will always think of him when I play this CD and remember only the good times. Happy travels my friend!
Uriah heep was one of those bands that you either loved or didn't. I was a big fan from the begining. Still am! This album, which I had on vinyl back in 1973 was a culmination of the best years with original vocalist David Byron and represents the very best of the band. Still very much a recording and touring act they never did get that same following they had in those early years. If you are or ever were a Heep fan, this is most definitly a must have. My ultimate wish would be a DVD of this live concert.
One of my favorite bands from the early 70s, I always thought they were similar to Deep Purple, but never achieved the same popularity. Great live set!! I should mention, however, the ommision of the 50s medley (Roll over Beethoven, Hound Dog, At the Hop)from the original Double LP. (Which incidentally, can in no way be faulted to the seller, IMO) goatatl
Excellent live set by the best line up of Heep ever. I am not pleased, however, that they left off the "Rock n' Roll Medley" that was on the record. There was plenty of time left on the CD so why wasn't it included?
Great CD, sounds great! very happy with this cd. Uriah Heep one of best bands of the 70's Thanks E-Bay A+ yours truely Randy
