If I really think about it, I am one weird guy. When it comes to The Three Stooges, I actually like Shemp better than Curly. When it comes to our US presidents, I actually think George Bush is decent. When it comes to the prog metal band Queensryche, I actually liked their sequel to Operation:Mindcrime. Your convinced now, aren't you? Told you I'm quirky. But dear reader, the quirkiness doesn't stop there, no sir/ma'am! The Canadian Rock band known as Rush have been pumping out amazing albums almost every year since the early 70s with many, many big hits (you probabbly have at least heard their song 'Tom Sawyer' on the radio). They took a 5 year break after writing 1996's 'Test For Echo' due to severe tragedy in the family of drummer Neil Peart, and the band wouldn't come back until 2002, when they blessed our ears with 'Vapor Trails' which happens to be my all-time favorite Rush album, even over 2112, thus making me a certified weirdo. The album is alot more progressive and heavy than anything I've heard by Rush. Almost bordering the sounds of Dream Theater's recent albums. That's probabbly why I like it so much, as I am also a huge DT fan. But, they don't go out and try to change their sound completely; the same old Rush feel is still there all the way. I'd say this album is great for newcomers to Rush, and a serious absolute must-have for any seasoned Rush fans. Another victory for the trio, who have yet to make something my ears and spirit don't enjoy.Read full review
READ ON TO FIND OUT WHY I LOVE THIS ALBUM: I LOVE EVERYTHING, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING RUSH HAS EVER DONE. EVEN GEDDY'S 80'S CRAZY FOR MEGA KEYBORD STAGE LOL. THIS ALBUM IS PARTICULARLY SPECIAL BECASUE IT IS THE FIRST ALBUM THAT RUSH DID AFTER SOME TIME OF NOT PERFORMING DUE TO VERY SAD TRADGEDY IN NEIL PEARTS LIFE { DRUMMER}. SO WAS SOMEWHAT OF A COMEBACK ALBUM AT THE TIME. A COMEBACK FROM TRADGEDY AND HEARTBREAK AND A COMBACK TO RUSH FOR NEIL {THANK GOD!}. THIS CD HAS AN EXTREEMLY DELICATE ETHERIAL SENSITIVITY & FRAJILITY ABOUT IT THAT MAKES IT UNIQE AND WONDERFUL IN ITS OWN WAY. IT TOUCHES MY HEART AND IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES AMONG RUSH ALBUMS, BUT I DO LOVE THEM ALL. A FAN FOR 40 YEARS SINCE I FIRST HEARD THEM PLAY IN 1980. RUSH WERE MY VERY FIRST ROCK CONCERT IN NYC DURING THE 1980 THE PERMANANT WAVES TOUR. Read full review

2002's VAPOR TRAILS from RUSH features 13 tracks in all and has a few stellar tracks, most notably the opener "One Little Victory," plus "Earthshine," "Vapor Trail," & "Freeze", which is Part IV of the band's famous "Fear" trilogy. VAPOR TRAILS is a solid release from start to finish, that definitely gets better with multiple listens. I bought the Cd back in 02 when it first was released, then eBay'd it, but now years later I've picked up the release again and I'm glad I did. I've been a RUSH fan since the "Moving Pictures" days, so for well over 25 years now, and this Cd is a good edition to my RUSH collection. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. ROCK ON, LLN

I bought the CD and other Rush CDs to catch up on all their albums I hadn't kept up through the years. eBay was a great way, at a great price to achieve this!
