This VHS is the collectible "Special Limited Edition" video that includes the book: "Which One's Pink?: An Analysis of the Concept Albums Of Roger Waters & Pink Floyd," by Phil Rose' The former key leader of the Pink Floyd band, Roger Waters, is joined with member of the band, Thomas Dolby, Albert Finney, Marianne Faitfull, Cyndi Lauper, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor & the Scorpions for this historical live performance of PinK Floyd's best selling VHS & album, "The Wall" at the German Berlin Wall. The eBay review of the VHS starts by saying that "The Wall," is "Loosely based on the life story of Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd's original front man (who was kicked out of the band for his bizarre and disturbing behavior only to go insane shortly thereafter) . . ." Most of the songs on Pink Floyd's album & double CD set are included on this VHS, including British war scenes from WWII. The underlying story is about a child who lost his father during the war. Left with hardly anything of his father's, the young boy tries to fit into his father's military uniform. Later in his life, he finds it difficult to fit into society filled with brutal violence. This man is far too sensitive for living wiith violence. "The Wall" is the real thing: A musical interpretation of the life of an extremely talented man who had every reason from birth onwards not to be. Of course, the group that took "The Wall" to Berlin, was singing the message over & again in one of the songs, "tear down the wall." What could have been more appropriate? When this VHS is in mint condition it is highly collectible & historical footage~Read full review
