Even though at first the rough sound came as too agressive for my ears (and I DO listen to death metal, do mind...) eventually you get over it and start to enjoy this indie rock noughties masterpiece. Carl Barat sure needs no Doherty around to make great tunes (actually I think he's much better on his own).
This album is a must have for any libs fan... well anyfan of british pop! i'd reccoment this to anyone! Every single track off this album is great, theres not one ever skip... i did start to get a bit bored of it after i'd listened to it about 15 times... i left it a few weeks came back and loved it as much as the first time i listened to it! Can't reccomend it highly enough!
Deadwood fantastic, perhaps my most played track in years, Bang-Bang your dead and essential track for those who suffer acrimonious break-ups 10/10!!!! The rest however............... Bit of a disappointment, if you like your music on the softer side of Green Day then this album is for you. Overall 6/10 pity really, it contains the best two tracks I've heard in YEARS!
This is a brilliant CD!!! Some great hits including Deadwood, bang bang you're dead and Gin and Milk. I recomend this to anyone who likes Alternitive/Rock!!! Top marks!!!
After seeing them live at kendal festival i had to get there album, its a great album that i would reccomend to fans of indie/rock music. tunt66
