If you are tired of the current crop of so called jazz musicians and the elevator music they crank out get this album. Real jazz real modern and it is from decades ago and still sounds fresh. By a far margin musicians that are putting out the so called trash jazz could learn a thing or two about real expression and individualism. Don't expect to hear a drum machine or someone running up and down a Pentatonic scale playing cliche licks. These guys where the real deal.
Here was the Greatest Jazz Band that most people were unfamiliar with.Weather Report set the bar for what each member of the band brought to the table.Led by Zawinul&Shorter two of todays' Mozart and Stravinsky,the road finally ends.This is This,the last album of the band (JZ)has transform the band again,now sounding like the Zawinul Syndicate.Wayne contributes his beautiful horn playing on two tracks,never holding back,knowing that he was leaving.still he leaves his imprint on this ,their last album.So I say to everyone buy this album if you can,copies are getting hard to find.
