These guys from San Diego sound like they just emerged from a space pod from Jupiter's orbit launched in the 1960's. The Wierding (their debut) is very reminiscent of King Crimson, ELO, Pink Floyd, Yes, mixed with a little Black Sabbath. Moog synthesizers and mellotrons add to the atmosphere of laid back spaciness that the guitars lay down, the singing is deep and hollow and reminds me of the days when great rock bands had great vocalists. Some of the songs run a little long winded at time (the entire album clocking in at almost over an hour and 20 minutes) but its a small misstep in otherwise epic album. This is a perfect soundtrack for a late night bedroom session complete with lava lamps and other festivities. Definitely one of the years best if you are into any of the above mentioned bands, psychedelic rock, stoner rock, doom metal, or just great rock in general. 4/5Read full review
CD with purchase. I like good music. And this CD, which I bought, very good. In particular, the '60 s and' s 70 years of rock, blues, jazz, progressiverock music collector. I bought him several times already and I certainly still can.
A very excellent album. If you are a prog fan, you MUST get this. Especially if you are into the retro sounding prog epicness
