Out of over 100 cds purchased over the past few weeks, the albums by Seether have gotten the most play

Karma and Effect is a good album with songs like Diseased, The Gift, and Never Leave. But to me Disclaimer II is still the better album.

I first heard Seether on OCTANE and instantly fell in love. I've always been a metal head, but as I've grown older my music tastes have mellowed slightly. Karma and Effect was not my first CD of Seether, but was purchased to quench my thirst for more as I can't seem to get enough of them. I don't find it as filling as their newer stuff, but it was a satisifing snack to tide me over til their next release. If you don't have any Seether, this shouldn't be your first choice, their newer stuff is alot better, but it is worthy of having if adding to your Seether collection. Unlike Metallica, Seether seems to be getting better with age, like me :) ...
This cd is pretty good, except for the wild screams in a couple of the songs. I mean, screaming can be appropriate unless there doesn't seem to be a point in it. And in those two songs, it is hard to find the point of it. For the most part, the music is great, although it doesn't compare to their (Seether's) album "Finding Spaces -" I like Seether though and you can't always get 100% great on anyone's albums, so I will still be interested in more of them (Seether).
It is a very good album, just like the first one "Disclaimer" and its Special editon "Disclaimer II". My favourites: Given, World falls away, Diseased. The first singel "Remedy" is a fantastic song with a really cool video. The second singel "The gift" is also a good song, and it has a special video. (You can find "The gift" video on the "One cold night" CD/DVD pack.)
