Some of these remixes are offered in the best quality ever available. "Baby You're a Rich Man" sounds amazing. "Only A Northern Song" is offered in stereo for the first time. On the other hand, "Sgt Pepper's" and "With A Little Help From My Friends" don't sound very good at all. "All You Need Is Love" is ruined with too much echo (on the brass, strings, AND vocals). The new songs from the Yellow Submarine movie, and the one from the Magical Mystery Tour album, all sound very good, but, otherwise, this CD isn't really worth it.
This Beatles audio CD is by far my favorite! It has lots of excellent Beetles songs, such as "Yellow Submarine," "All Together Now," and "Only a Northern Song." They are very catchy and enjoyable, and they have fabulous lyrics. Your whole family may want to have fun listening to it together if you and your family members enjoy Beatles music products. I'd recommend it!

The original album Yellow Submarine was released early in 1969 after an animated film was done in 1968 based on music by the Beatles who were the most widely known pop rock group in the late sixties. The film is cute and the soundtrack album is great but the second side of the record was orchestrations to support the animation and not original Beatles songs. Side one has six originals including the title track sung by Ringo Starr, which originally was included on their epic 1966 album Revolver. The Yellow Submarine Songtrack was assembled and released by Apple thirty years later in 1999. This has fifteen tracks, all Beatles, all the time. In addition to the six songs on the original album, they add more of the songs from that era omitted earlier including "Think for yourself", "Love you to" and several more classics including "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" and "Nowhere man". If you are a fan of the Beatles and want a complete collection of songs from Yellow Submarine without the orchestral extras, this album is for you.Read full review

I bought this disc because my son really loves the movie. And whats more, he sings along with the fab four. So I play the disc when we're in my car. Taken by itself, the album is disjointed, but understanding that it is a soundtrack and makes the movie(an underrated animated classic!) flow, he and I have a lot of fun. Plus he's getting a great musical education.
