I first heard this album many years ago, it was given to me by my cousin, in cassette format. I know cassettes are not the best in sound quality, but the quality of this album shorn through to me. So i just had to buy this on CD, and wow all the brilliance of the album is there, starts off with "Heart of the sunrise" a 10min track, starts fast then slows, with odd litle tunes in the middle, a really great starting track. Being a bass player, i'm very "tuned in" to Chris Squires playing, he really is an excellent bass guitarist, the tone is deep, and really bites! But having said all that, ALL the members of Yes are brilliant! This Classic Yes album, is a very good way to get the flavour of the group, all the tracks are great, Wonderous Stories, Roundabout, are just two to mention. Give it a try, and i'm sure if you like Rock stuff, you'll love these guys. Thanks for reading, happy listening.Read full review
Excellent Classic studio tracks not so keen on the live tracks a particular annoying track were the audience are clapping not my scene, but well worth the money for the rest. Have these tracks on tape so wanted quality of CD for a long time trying to get tickets to see them this year with original line up. Tickets pricy but think it will be worthit.
Some one reccommended Yes to me and this CD was a good introduction into what Yes is all about. Nice quality production, nice to listen to in the car.
Say yes to Yes... I just bought this album out of nostalgia. It is a bit dated now, but still cracking music...!
