What can I say that Pavarottis voice has not said, there has not been a voice like that for over a hundred years or a voice that comes close to it. Its one in a million singers that have it all. I found the movie to be a nice fun musical film. Not great but very nice. Of course the singing was great. I think Mr Pavarotti did a very good job for his first and only film. All in all it was worth it and all that I have let see it have said the same things about it. It should be released again in DVD so more would get to see it that have not. Their will be no other and Pavarotti was one of a kind. I would give this film a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10 if for know other reason then it was Pavarottis only flim and the music is great. Mr Robert J. Saw this movie many years ago and bought a used VHS for around $50-it was very rare then..The plot line is good with drama,humor and tendernness and lots of singing. Senor Pavaroti's singing ranges from the tender and sensous Italian love songs to an exquisite and poignant song from the opera 'Turandot'. Luciano Pavarotti soars in this magnificent film, the only film he ever made for the movies.It is a rare gem to be savored from time to time..May he rest in peace, a gift to mankind, now a gift to the Heavens.
This is a beautiful film, entertaining and funny. The singing is wonderful. There are just no superlatives one can use to describe Pavarotti's voice. He was the best, there will never be another like him. This film should be released on disc as more people would like to enjoy a copy.
It was an excellent picture. We saw it on T.V. many years ago. We tried for years to get a copy. The scenery was beautiful. The story line was great. We are happy to hear/see one of the greatest singers of our generation We were delighted that EBay found us a copy.
amazed at what a good actor he was in this his only movie(that i know of).you cant like opera and not love this movie.the first male diva loses his voice but hopefully the lovely doctor can help him get his voice back in time for the big show.the only thing i can say is dont walk away doc,dont walk away!
