If you like Jeff Beck, and to my mind you'd have to be crazy not to appreciate a real poetic and musical genius like Jeff Beck, then you'll be pleased with this effort. From the hard-driving testosterone-enhancing sound of "Roy's Toy"(perfect for pushing your way through cross-town Manhattan traffic), the sexy "Dirty Mind"(makes you want to do the girl you're with right now...) to the beautiful lyricism of "Nadia", Beck once again displays his mastery of the spectrum of contemporary guitar work, his ingenuity in pushing the boundaries of what rock can be about rather than hearing more hackneyed, repetitious and boring chord sequences and screaming lyrical choruses and again shows us that he's not just an overgrown high-school loser with a loud guitar but a real musician and a real genius. Several other tracks on this disc make it much more than worth the money. Get your copy while you still can. Seriously, this is a great disc.Read full review
In guitar playing with experimentation, in my mind there were only two dedicated exponents: Hendrix and Beck. And if you felt that Beck did his best work in the '70s - then you're in for a treat. I recently realised that he has produced some great albums from the early '90s up to his most recent work in 2016 - altho I listen more to those between 1992-2010. This album 'You Had It Coming' is one of his best - gritty, raw, edgey, melodic, frenetic, refreshingly original guitar playing. It;s my favorite which has lead me to purchase additional copies for friends & fam. He had a golden period between 1999 - 2003. This one is in the middle c.2000. His 1992 collaborative soundtrack album is also a winner - Frankie's House. Enjoy

I've been a Jeff Beck fan since the Yardbird days so I was anxious for this release. Well it didn't disappoint. Jeff's work will so be added to his greatest hits list. Beck states 'this is his best band ever' and that's a fact. Imogen Heap's vocal style on Rollin and Tumbin is the best version to date. On drums is someone I've never heard of but is stunning, Vinnie Colaiuta. Tal Wilkenfeld is a gorgeous 21 years old blond that is super sweet on bass. Jason Rebello is also a new face but is someone to admire. So what are you waiting for? This is Beck at his best. Buy it. -Rusty Bones
I have to say that lead guitarists with a blues bent are my style. However I was so disappointed with Jeff Beck following his release of 'Wired' I gave up on him for decades. I heard Rollin' And Tumblin' on the net recently and I felt not only had Beck redeemed himself BUT listen to the amazing vocals from Imogen Heap on the same track. I'm happy .......... it can be catching.
