If you are a fan of the hardcore scene of the early 90s then you most likely know who Zao is...This is a great collection of a "Greatest Hits" almost. There are a few tracks that I would like to see on here that didn't make the cut that I think should have been on here but overall...this is a must have for a car stereo or hardcore CD collection. This band helped pave the way along the lines of hardcore. Some of the heaviest breakdowns and great breaks and rasping vocals. This album captures what would be one of their best sets if they played this tracklist live. This band always gets the crowd stirred up and is very emotionally driven for a hardcore band.
Every Zao cd would get an excellent from me. I love Zao. There were some really good songs on Legendary and compilation cds can be cool if you do them right. I probably would have made some different song selections if I had made the cd, but I didn't. There are some really tough songs on here, though. Skin like winter is perfect to start out the album, then straight into 5 year winter very tough song also. I was very happy with this cd. In my opinion, you can't go wrong buying a Zao cd.
