This CD was a missing link in my ELO collection. I have the LP, or dare I say "album", but not the CD. I have a few of these songs on other ELO compilation CD's, but not all, especially "Calling America". So it was a nice catch and has already been cranked up on my VW's Monsoon sound system. Jeff Lynne, ELO's driving force, admitted he wrote "crappy songs" as ELO approached the mid-80's, but happily, most of the songs on this CD are anything BUT!

ELO and Jeff Lynne are just amazing. I liked this CD but I cant say it is my favorite. I am trying to buy all the original ELO CDs, so this was a must have for me and I find the tunes catchy, but very 80s sounding, which can be a good thing or a bad thing i guess, I love everything that ELO has done so it is good to me.
Balance of Power is one of ELO's best. It brings back lots of memories for me. I really like the songs because they talk about whats happening in this world we live in and it is timeless.
Electric Light Orchestra could never disappoint. This is yet another cd that i can play over and over and over again and never get tired of it. ELO purchase is never a bad choice.
