This cd had an awful lot of hype before it was released. When the son of the legendary John Bonham hits the skins in a band with Glenn Hughes doing vocals and the awesome guitar work of Joe Bonamassa visits you'd expect quite a masterpiece to unfold...well in my opinion, it didn't! The whole of these parts did not make this recording greater than the sum. Generally this is a good cd, but no where near the greatness that would be expected of these musicians based on what they've done in the past. Glenn Hughes has been brilliant throughout his long career with bands like Trapeze and Deep Purple, especially his work with Tony Iommi on the Sabbath album "Seventh Star" and the DEP Sessions that were released 8 years after that. Jason Bonham has been one of the best drummers in the world for years, and his hard hitting style is the best part of this whole cd. Joe Bonamassa has been gold on everything his guitar has touched, up until now, but that may not be his fault actually. The mixing and production of this cd is what is really wrong. On most of these songs you can barely tell the guitar is present, the mixing is absolutely awful in my opinion. You get the beat, but hardly any rhythm which makes it sound awkward at best. Add to that the fact that the songs are uninspired, and an aging Glenn really seemed to be struggling with these songs (this is the worst recording/vocals he's ever done). All in all, I was very disappointed with this cd....it could have been much, much better. If a younger more vibrant singer like Jorn Lande or Joe Lynn Turner would have lent the vocals, and if a better production and mixed would have been employed on this cd then I am sure it would have been far better than what was actually released...fans, you've been warned!Read full review
They're Ok,but I expected better. Bonamassa is a better singer than Glenn Hughes,so in essence, they'd be better without him (Hughes). Not enough of Joe's Bluesy guitar but Jason Bonham is truly a drum slayer and is probably the best part of this band.

This CD blew me away, BCC is amazing groupof musicians at the peak of there musical prowess and power. It is not often you get to experience something as monumental as this venture. The songs, writing and musical power just grab you by the throat and all you can do is hand on. Joe, Glen, Jason, and Derek have quickly found a vibe, a groove if you will and are leveling everything in their path. Buy this CD and you will be awe struck by every song you hear! In my opinion BCC is set on a path of becoming the new foundation of Rock, in the same stratospheric arena as influential as Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray, Jimi!
Although they do not see themselves as a supergroup they actually play as one. The album is a nice brew of 3 generations of finest rock musicians. Tracks are composed in a modern manner and every member has the chance to display his talents wonderfully.
WITH THE ARTISTS ADVERTISED, I WAS HOPING FOR MORE OF AN INSTRUMENTAL.....IT'S STILL A JAMMING GOOD CD----JUST NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING
