My aunt originally gave me this CD when I was 12, maybe 13 years old. Someone she knew was the sound mixer at one of the Swamp Zombies' shows in Fresno, CA. She thought I'd like it and gave me the copy she was given. I didn't just like it, I worshiped it. I've taken this CD everywhere with me and in the process scratched my copy up something awful. I've just bought the CD again to replace a very damaged master copy. To my surprise, a few years ago, I discovered that The Swamp Zombies had 4 other LPs, a couple of singles and some split 7's that I've since found on eBay. You SHAG fans will find it particularly interesting. Yes, indeed...SHAG, the pop artist. JoSH-AGle is the blond one, holding the VOX guitar on the album cover. He also did the cover designs, fliers, stickers and band artwork for the Swamp Zombies, while being a Swamp Zombie from the early 80's until their evolution into the Tiki Tones in the mid 90's. A Frenzy of Music and Action is one of the greatest PUNK-FOLK records of all time. If you can find a copy, buy it. You won't regret it. While your at it, try to pick up a copy of Chicken Vulture Crow, Fink, Scratch and Sniff Car-Crash and Spunk. Each of their records is worth it's weight in gold.Read full review
"unemployed" is good but the only noteworthy song on the album.swampzombies are a rather strange group and the music tends to be weird, kind of a beatnick bongo extravaganza. which gets rather boring after awhile.
