I have recently began collecting Byron Cage's cds and after reading about him on the internet, I realized that he had a previously release album - "Dwell Among Us". So I searched ebay and found an unopened cd available. The cd recording quality is very good. The musical styling of Byron Cage on this cd is definitely different from what he is doing now. The cd liner notes refers to Thomas Whitfield as being Byron Cage's biggest influence and this cd recording feels Whitfield "offspringish". This is Byron Cage's 1st work. So you may be disappointed if you just jumped on the Byron Cage wagon. But if you are a fan of Byron Cage you will appreciate hearing Byron in his infancy and will want to have this recording in your possession. The 1st song "This is the day" is my favorite but I also liked "Lord, Take Me Higher" and "Earth Has No Sorrow". This recording also has the 1st recording of "The Glory Song" which was a popular song on his 3rd cd recording. It is interesting to hear the original interpretation and compare it to the 2nd interpretation.Read full review
