As many have said, the song The Confessor is just awesome and worth the price of the CD by itself. However, it is not representative of the CD as none of the other songs on it are remotely like it. I like several of the other songs, but in my opinion this CD is no where near as good as The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get, or Lifes Been Good. Songs on the Confessor are not much like the ones on those other 2 CDs of his which I think are great!

As anyone who has followed Joe's career knows, he has a softer side, and it's been rearing it's mellow head ever since his first solo album. These are Joe's moments of introspection and reflection. To the careful listener, the mellow songs are often the most meaningful songs on his albums. Sure, we all love the song, "Confessor". It is one of the great songs of Joe's career, and one of the great rockers of the 80s. However, don't discount "Rosewood Bitter", or any of the rest. These are the songs that reveal a little of his soul.
Because Joe is a top notch guitarist

I found this 1st pressing, and as usual the quality of the import out does the domestic copy of this! If your a Joe Walsh fan, if you can buy this target cd you won"t be sorry! A+
Bought the cd to get the kick-ass song, "The Confessor" & expected the rest of the cd to be similar. Wrong! Looks like Joe used up his creativity on the one song & made eight fillers. Just buy the single from a downloader.
