This was their first CD that they put out; sadly, they only released 2 CDs; one more, Don't Tread On Me, the following year; equally as good. They've also released 3 DVDs: One is as interview with some of their videos on it; one with all of their videos on it, and one as a live performance. I'm wondering why they never released their 'unplugged' songs, or their live performances as CDs? They too, would've sold like hotcakes even today. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to settle for Shaw & Blades 2 CDs & all the CDs & DVDs that I can find by Uncle Ted. Rock & Roll just don't get any better than this!

Tommy Shaw (former Styx) on vocals, "Sweaty Teddy" Nugent on lead guitar and Jack Blades of Night Ranger fame had a great new sound as the 90's kicked off. I saw these guys play at a festival here in Ohio in 1991 and they blew everyone away. Very melodic yet maintained that harder rock edge, they were easily one of the most talented of the new groups of the time, mainly because of all the experience that they'd gained from the previous material and bands they'd played in earlier in their collective careers. This debut release is easily their best effort, and the one that has the most recognizable songs. In fact, there's not a bad song on this cd, if your a fan of good hard rock music then you'd really enjoy this disk.

Amboy Dukes (Ted Nugent)+ Nightranger (Jack Blades) + Styx (Tommy Shaw= Damn Yankees! This is one of those releases I can play beginning to end to beginning to end and never tire of it. "Don't worry about it ma'am. It's just them Damn Yankees!"
