I would have to say this is a really good disc. I am huge Jeff Loomis Fan, and anything this guy does is freaking great. He puts alot of players to shame. chek him out on youtube for videos of him playing, now this cd is good if you loke this genre of music guitars are blazing and vocals are searing. i give it 5 stars! i recommend this to anyone who likes guitar rock. I really like believe in nothing, a track covered bt all that remains, as well as riverdragon has come. these tracks kick the crap out of you for sure......
Even though Nevermore is not in the metal scene any more, their music is a legacy for all those who enjoy of good metal music. This one, Dead Heart in a Dead World, is a must have to any metal headbanger around.

Premium Metal, Jeff Loomis and Steve Smythe are highly talented guitarists that shred like very few can, now a days. The vocals are not 'death metal' screams, more operaetic, and understandable. If you like Dream Theater, Yngwie, and Pantera, this is like a baby of those 3.
Their best album IMO. Lots of dynamics and awesome songs. There's no filler on this at all. It's great!
