Notes
Born on the island of Antigua, Rone-iff A. Carr, traveled to the United Stated with his parents and younger sister. Music has always been a part of him and runs within his blood as his mom grew up singing in groups with her siblings and his dad plays several instruments. In Fairbanks, Alaska, where his youngest sister was born, he began playing the saxophone, at the age of nine. He found early success playing in honor bands in elementary school and in high school winning the Louis Armstrong Jazz award. Throughout the years, he has landed several opportunities to play at functions in Alaska, New York, and Germany to name a few. In 2002, he and his wife, Eh Moo, moved to San Diego, CA where he recorded his first album "Journey of Deliverance." Rone-iff's musical influences, to name a few have been John Coltrane, Grover Washington Jr., Kenny G, Charlie Parker, Kirk Whalum, Miles Davis, Fred Hammond, & Kirk Franklin. Rone-iff also had the opportunity to perform with the late Maynard Ferguson. His eclectic taste in music is reflected in the songs he writes which are influenced by Jazz, Latin, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, African, Gospel and various other styles of music from around the world. He desires to reach the world through his music and to minister to lost souls. He continues to find inspiration for his songs from his readings, his personal experiences, and relationship with Jesus Christ. He hopes that his listeners will take encouragement and strength from his music as they continue their journeys, especially during their trials and test.
