Notes
The Finnish outfit continue to stick to their tried-and-tested cavernous style of death metal, with long, drawn out songs and a vortex of blast beats and tremolo-picked riffs creating a horrifying, inescapable atmosphere. Just like on the previous album, 'The Heart of the Netherworld' opens up with an ominous intro which bursts into a fully-fledged, blackened death metal passage for around three minutes. Titled 'For the Devil and His Angels', this song sets the precedent for the next hour of what proves to be some of the most vicious and atmospheric death metal you will hear this year.
